Freefall over Altenburg
Ostthüringer Fallschirmsportclub (OFC) has been based at Altenburg-Nobitz Airport since 2020. At weekends, the club’s Antonov AN-2 regularly takes skydivers to a jump altitude of 2,500 metres, and occasionally to 4,000 metres. Freefall is followed by a parachute descent and a landing close to the terminal.
Visitors are welcome at OFC and can watch the jumps and landings at close quarters. If you want to take part, tandem jumps and skydiving courses are available.
