Land contamination

Comprehensive land contamination reports are available and were taken into account in planning the site. Remediation of the identified contaminated areas outside the sections intended for building reuse is expected to be completed in the foreseeable future, so that contamination will not restrict further development and reuse.

Planning and infrastructure

Binding land-use planning for the commercial and industrial estate was carried out through three separate development plans. The plan boundaries follow land-use zones 2, 3 and 4.

The development plan for land-use zone 4 (B-Plan Nobitz 005) has been legally binding since early 1997. The plans for land-use zone 2 (B-Plan Nobitz 007) and land-use zone 3 (B-Plan Nobitz 006) are also legally binding.

Access roads and the main internal roads have been completed, providing serviced building plots. Gas, electricity, water and other utility supplies are secured.
